Hiya, Im Justine!
First off—your presence here seriously means the world to me! So thank you, truly, for being here!
I’ve been on a healing journey for the past 7-ish years. And when I say healing, I mean finding me—what lights me up, what grounds me, and what makes me feel like I’m living MY life, not anyone else’s version of it. I’ve always been a little shy, but I knew deep down I wanted more. I wanted to feel confident speaking in front of people, to be a part of something meaningful, something bigger. I knew that if I kept letting fear or what others thought hold me back, I wouldn’t become the person I kept visualizing. It all really started during my last year in college, when I discovered Reiki—and it changed everything. That one experience opened a new path toward healing, self-discovery, and remembering who I truly am.
There was a time when I thought balance meant doing everything perfectly.
Now I know it looks much different.
Sometimes balance is slowing down.
Sometimes it's asking for help.
Sometimes it's remembering to nourish your body, take a deep breath, or spend five quiet minutes reconnecting with yourself.
I created Justine in Balance because I wanted to build the kind of space I was searching for during my own healing journey—a place that feels honest, welcoming, and free of pressure.
Whether you're here to explore Reiki, read my journal entry, try a new ritual, or simply feel a little less alone, I hope you leave feeling more connected to yourself than when you arrived.
Being a mama and wife is a huge part of my heart and a big part of my why. My little family means everything to me! My husband and I have been together for 19 years (married since July 2021!), and navigating life, love, and parenthood with him has been the craziest, funniest, most beautiful ride.
Motherhood has transformed me in ways I never expected—it’s made me softer (I’m a big cry baby now), stronger, and so much more intuitive. I stay home with our son full-time, soaking in every milestone, every playdate, every mommy-and-me class, and every hilarious, chaotic toddler moment. And let me tell you… parenting through a surprise pregnancy (thanks, copper IUD 🙃) taught me one thing: the universe has jokes. But it also showed me I was more than ready to be a mama—even if I didn’t see it coming. Looking back, I know I was being guided every step of the way.
My son has changed me in the most beautiful ways. He’s helped me see how much my inner child needed healing. Laughing with him, pretending we’re in a band, dancing silly without caring how I look—it’s all been so freeing. He pushes me to step into the woman I know I’m meant to be. He reminds me what it means to shine, to lead, and to simply be MYSELF.
Some days I’m overstimulated, overbooked, and running on little sleep, but I’ve never felt more aligned with my purpose. Being present for my son while also building this healing biz reminds me daily that I can do both. Even if it’s taking longer than I planned, I’m doing the dang thing!
I’m not just a mama or a wife—I’m a woman chasing her dreams, embracing the chaos in between, and learning to come back to herself again and again. And that, to me, is some superpower energy.
My plants are like my babies—if one’s having a rough season, I get emotional.
Third-generation Mexican reconnecting with my roots.
I’ve followed a pescetarian lifestyle for over 10 years—yes to seafood, but no chicken or red meat.
I LOVE grocery shopping, but dread shopping for clothes or presents.
Flamin’ Hot Cheetos have been one of my guilty pleasures for years...and I have zero shame. 😜
I love creating a pretty charcuterie board or baking homemade sourdough to share.
I've collected bottle caps for 7 straight years. (Yes, I still have them all.)
I once walked across the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Canada—even though I’m terrified of heights.
Fun fact: my first concert ever was Hilary Duff (aka Lizzie McGuire!).
I finally ran my first 5K in May 2025—and I’m so damn proud I did it (even while sick!).
